Designed for the School Education Department, UT of Ladakh, this ₹16.00 Cr project creates a modern, climate-resilient library within a 7,000 sq.ft. hilly site in Leh. Responding to extreme cold desert conditions, the design integrates terraced massing, passive solar gain, insulated envelopes, and snow-resilient roofs to ensure thermal comfort and uninterrupted access year-round. A centralized heating system, sustainable water management, and use of durable local materials enhance efficiency. Arofe Build & Design Pvt. Ltd. provided master planning, architectural design, structural coordination, and sustainability strategies for this ongoing landmark project.
